Oh What Do You Do In The Summertime.....

I found a White Mountain Ice Cream Maker at Down East Home Store and had to buy it to make memories making ice cream in the summertime.

We read the directions and went on the patio and took turns churning. We ran out of ice so Don ran to the store and bought some ice.

We enjoyed the yummy homemade ice cream, better than Cold Stone!!!

Steele's Home

Bridget brought home from Italy a quill set for Steele. He was so excited.

Steele is home and we are sooooo excited he is back. Look at his clean room. Last night he was singing all the camp songs he learned and telling us all about his camp.

We are excited for Steele to come home today. Bridget and I cleaned his room and reorganized and decluttered. He has a clean room to come to this afternoon.

Bridget Is Home

Bridget got home last night at 11:00 p.m. She called me at 10:00 p.m. saying they were stuck in Chicago because of customs. I said you're joking right? and she laughed. She didn't get me on that one.

It was fun to see her excitement of having a great time and telling us all about the different places she went to. She had an absolutely great time and said she wanted to stay. Dan she brought home Swiss chocolate per your request.

She asked when Steele gets home from California. She won't see him for another week.

She said she missed the piano so it won't be quiet around our house for much longer. As soon as she gets over the jet lag she'll be back at the piano.

Strawberries

I have strawberry plants that I don't want, SO if you would like some strawberry plants let me know and come get them. I don't care for strawberries now if they were raspberries that would be a different story. The previous owner used them as a ground cover.

ONLY CHILD

Nicole is an only child at home for a few days. I took Steele to the airport to visit Grandma and Grandpa and to attend a camp for a week there in Northern California and Bridget doesn't arrive home until Saturday night late. I really miss not having them around. I had a hard time packing Steele for the trip -- I guess I didn't want him to go. Silly me! Nicole works from 1:30 to 7:30 and I work from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. so I don't see much of Nicole either. Yesterday afternoon I cleaned the house good. I am hoping to clean Steele's room good before he gets home. We are giving his bed to Bruce in the next few weeks when they move to Alpine as his bed is the one that the head and feet adjust. So we'll be shopping for a new bed soon for Steele. He wanted to know if he could get an "Inteligel" bed and I said no so then he said what about a Sleep Number One. I guess he's been watching too many commercials. I'll add pictures later.

Gracie

Bridget bought some new sandals and gave this box to Gracie. She loves it and we find her in there often.

Quiet

It's REALLY quiet around our house. Bridget left Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. for Europe - Italy, Switzerland and France. She'll get home late on the 14th. We don't have the piano going 4 hrs a day. Steele practices some but not as much. She called when they got to Chicago for a layover but we haven't heard from her since. I'm praying that she will wear her walking shoes instead of being "fashionable". Steele leaves next Wednesday for California for almost 2 weeks and then it will really be quiet. Mom is in Maui, Hawaii with Lynnette and Bruce and Linda. Amy is in Cedar City with the new grand baby and Alice is in Oregon so it's really quiet.
