Steele, Tyler and Don got the bikes ready and rode up the canyon and back. Bridget and I had a picnic lunch ready for them and we went to the Scera Park. They climbed trees, threw Frisbees and swung on the swings. We came back and Bridget has been practicing piano ever since. She's been practicing 4 hours a day and recording every practice for her teacher. Don, Steele and Tyler took the bikes over to the miniature golf place and are miniature golfing. When they get home we will barbecue some hamburgers and then play games tonight. Bridget is having dinner with her friends family. Nicole is working. She got paid yesterday and loved that aspect of work. Cody called me this morning and thanked me for the blanket. Mom went to this afternoon and got her hair done for her Hawaii trip. I think we have her all packed and ready to go. She leaves Monday a.m. I gave her a perm on Thursday and that turn out good. Now she won't have straight hair in Hawaii.

Beautiful Iris's
I had to show off my beautiful iris's. My neighbor gave them to me the first year we moved in and I planted them all over the yard -- corner flower bed, back flower bed and Mom's flower bed. I love the colors.
Bridget cleaned out the pantry the other day and she spent 4 hours doing it. Such a good girl she is. She labeled everything and I love the one label that she made.
Dan and Phyllis and Rachel left tonight. Tomorrow morning they head off for BYU-I. It was fun to see them today. We went to lunch at Debi's favorite Thai Restaurant and it was yummy. Phyllis, Rachel, Sue, Dan, Nicole and I stopped at Saver's to find some blouses for Mom's trip to Hawaii on Monday. We found the perfect shirts.
Tyler is spending the week end with us. Dan and Phyllis will pick him up Monday morning on their way home.

Last Week of School
I can't believe it but this Friday is the last day of school for this year. Next year Steele will be in the 6th grade and Bridget a Senior in High School. Nicole will be a Sophmore at BYU-Idaho. Wow, where does the time go????
Bridget is getting all A's and a B+ and they are all AP classes. Steele is doing well also.
I'm afraid the summer will go by fast too.

Memorial Day Week End
Sunday after dinner the kids picked the beautiful iris's from our flower garden to put on the graves at the cemetery. We hurried and cleared the table and got in the car and drove to cemetery. It was a little crowded but not as bad as it would be on Monday. We put flowers on Dad's, Tayson's, Michael's and Jim's graves and then walked up to the military flags and found Dad's name and flag and then walked to the stone monument and found his name again. Mom didn't want to go with us so she stayed home. I told the kids about when we had Memorial Day growing up we would mow the lawn and rake the grass and put it bags and then drive out to Otto and rake the graves and put the grass on the graves so it would look like grass and then take any flowers that we had in the yard and put on Grandma and Grandpa Beck's graves. It was a family day most of the time. Our cousins from Moorcroft, WY would usually come. I would always put flowers on Jerry's grave as well. Jerry was my little friend that passed away when were seven after a tragic accident on the playground at school.
When we got home we realized no one had put the left over lasagna away and Toby had a nice dinner while we were gone. He had two huge pieces of lasagna. He looked sick the whole night eating so much. Don said he was going to put an ad in the classifieds for a free dog. NO WAY!! (He was just kidding or maybe not. Toby still doesn't go to Don. He will go to the home teachers more than he will Don. Some day!!)
The Monroe's came over at 7 p.m. and we had dessert -- Chocolate Eclair Cake. Amy and I went on a Sunday walk. We are trying to walk daily together.
Monday morning I'm working from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. and then another girl will work from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don got us tickets to see the new Indiana Jones movie. Mom, Ray, Neil and Gabby are coming with us as well. It is supposed to rain all day so a perfect day to go to the movies. I'm sure everyone else will be there as well. Nicole works today so won't be able to join us. She saw the movie late Saturday night.

Family Home Evening
Success at the DENTIST
I had another dentist appointment with the new dentist. He's great. He spent 2 1/2 hours with me getting a tooth ready for a crown. He explained everything so well and is a perfectionist. He already called this evening wanting to see how my tooth was doing. I'm very impressed. He lives down the street and was a leary going to my neighbor. He's been practicing for 4 years. He's young but on top of the latest. I'm SMILING!!!!!!!!!
Stucco Project

We had the stucco fixed on the side of the house. It had a big crack when we moved in and we felt it needed to fixed to prevent any further damage. The contractor we used was a referral by another contractor that we used do finish work and he did an amazing job. He also did touch up jobs on the rest of the house as well.
Also notice the roses I planted this spring. They are growing nicely. You know I love roses and had to have some in our yard.
Sunday Evening
We had a very nice Sunday. The Monroe's and Eschelman's came over for dinner at 5 p.m. to celebrate Bridget's birthday. Don made Dutch Oven chicken and then we had salads to go with it. Amy made brownies with a big B on it. I wanted to take a picture but my battery was dead. That's what happens when I take more pictures.
After dinner we sat around and talked and then the kids (Steele, Neil, Bridget, Becca and Nicole) played frisby and then they played basketball. Don put the basketball hoop on the street across from our house. The neighbors has one so now we have two. I wanted to take a picture of that as well but unable to.
Mom has a bad head cold but still able to join us as well. She slept with the fan on the night before and made her cold even worse.

Falling Apart
I have had a very interesting week. Last Thursday I ended up in the ER with severe chest pains. What was discovered was that my heart is fine and that I took some pills before bed and didn't take them with food and they lodged in the esophagus. So needless to say I have since changed my vitamin taking to the morning with my bowl of oatmeal and lots of water. It was a very painful experience that I do not recommend to anyone.
Then yesterday I walked out on the dentist. My regular dentist was out of the country so saw the other dentist that shares his office. I hate confrontations and I didn't like the feeling that was there so walked out. To start it off I was walking down the hall to the chair and another dental assistant wasn't looking and ran right into me with a tray of dental stuff. I got white stuff on my wool coat (which I hope will come out). I made an appointment to see my regular dentist when he gets back in town next week but in the mean time I made an appointment with a neighbor that is a dentist. So what a mess. Brush your teeth and floss so you don't end up in the dentist chair.
Mother's Day was wonderful!!! The kids got me the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks, Bath and Body Soap, Pillow Distressing Spray and Lotion (which I obviously need) and lip balm. We went to Lynnette's for dinner.
So take note of the THREE THINGS
1. Take Vitamins in the morning with food and lots of water!!
2. Brush your teeth every minute of the day and floss and take your fluoride.
3. Patience

I Love Flowers
My tulips are finally up and look so beautiful so I had to take a picture for you to see how beautiful they are.
Don and Steele took me to the nursery yesterday so I could buy snap dragons, holly hocks, allysum, petunias for the flower gardens. Then we picked out some plants for the pots by the garage -- geraniums, impatiens. The nursery was so crowded with everyone buying flowers for Mother's Day. This was my gift from Don.
We got home around 6 p.m. and Bridget planted most of them for me. Steele planted a few before he got distracted by the red ants.

Hope of America
Last week Steele participated with his 5Th grade class with other elementary schools through out Utah County in the Hope of America. It was held at the BYU's Marriot Center. Tons of people. It was an amazing program with patriotic songs and all choreographed. He had a fun time. Nicole, Don and I had fun watching the hour long program. They did an amazing job.
