Art Museum
Today after work I took Steele to BYU and we went to their Earth Science Museum (which was really small) and then the Art Museum. That was the favorite of the two. I was impressed with the Geneva Steele Pictures. Then we went to the Creamery and bought some ice cream.

Busted!!
Tobey, he loves his toys, especially ones with a squeaker in it. He loves to rip apart the toy to get the squeaker out of it. Nicole caught him demolishing one of his toys, doesn't he look guilty?
Thanksgiving Point
Procedure Dolls
Mom and I made a bunch of super cute Procedure Dolls for the Hospital. They give the dolls to child patients to explain to them how the procedure is done, hence the name. The faces are left blank so the children can draw their own faces on and they can take them home afterwards. We have a nurse in our neighborhood that uses them and are very helpful for the children. They are so adorable!

Remember Me?
Since everyone else is doing it!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you! reminisce away...

Wednesday
Mom had her colonoscopy yesterday and was inconclusive. The doctor said there was too much scar tissue from all her surgeries so she goes back in tomorrow for another test. Barium Xray.
Mom and I have been making "Procedure Dolls" to give to hospitals to give to children when they go in for surgeries. I will add a picture later. They are plain simple dolls with a hospital gown.
I keep Mom busy. We just ordered a bunch of Stockings that she likes to do.

Nicole's Tie Skirt
Recap of the weekend
Nicole came home yesterday from a week with Grandma and Grandpa. She had a great time and had to show all her shopping finds.
Saturday I woke up sick and am thinking it was all the food I ate at the birthday party on Friday night. We did go to the movies at Thanksgiving point as part of the Xactware Summer Family Party. Steele and I saw Kung Fu Panda and Don and Bridget saw Hancock. Then we went for a quick lunch at Costco nearby and then back to Thanksgiving point to see the Dinosaur Museum. I'm not one for dinosaurs but Steele loved it. We have passes to see the gardens, imax movie which we will do this week. We went home after the museum intending to go back for the barbecue, comedian and fireworks but I still wasn't feeling well so we stayed home. Bridget went to a friends birthday party.
Sunday I woke up feeling much better. It is so nice to be able to walk to church in 3 minutes. Don, Bridget and Steele drove up to SLC to pick Nicole up. Neil and Becca came over and the kids played games. Gerald Hubbard came over to help Don with his genealogy and I went to bed.
We spoke to Jared on the phone Friday night. It was fun to hear his voice
Mom starts her prep for the colonoscopy she is doing tomorrow. She's been up tight about having that done but will be relieved to have it over with.

My Rose Garden!!!
Here is the rose garden in it's pre-fabulous phase. I should have taken a picture of the dying grass but always forget the before picture. It took SO much time to take out the sod and thankfully my wonderful husband and beautiful children helped out! The rocks were especially hard to dig out.
And here is the fabulous rose garden. I'm so excited about not having grass in that particular area. This time of year it parts of it always died. I guess it could get enough water since in was on an incline. Plus we love having a rose garden again!

Tie Skirt

Nicole has been wanting to make a tie skirt but I didn't want to pay $2 for a tie at DI and it would take 30 or more ties to make so I told her no because of the expense. Well, Nicole and I went shopping at DI to buy kitchen supplies for college when I found 6 bags of ties (15 ties in each bag) or $3 each. I bought all the bags so the girls have been sewing like crazy. Bridget finished hers first and she's quite proud of hers. Nicole is almost done. She would have finished but Bridget was using the machine. Great Job girls
July 4th 2008
This morning I worked my usual shift by myself and had 19 calls. It wasn't bad. I sewed while I waited and watched a movie.
After work we went up to Kim and Eric's home for a barbecue and swimming. They have a beautiful home and everyone had fun. Today is Cami's (Eric & Kim's youngest) birthday. She turned 6 years old.
We left there after 4 and then we had the Monroe's come over for dinner on their way to Cedar City.
Don and I bought some fireworks at Costco yesterday so will have fun in the street with those as soon as it gets dark. It was so nice to be with family. Nicole had to work so we missed her at Eric's. She did get off early so she was excited.
It seemed like a Saturday to me all day so I'm excited that I get a Saturday tomorrow to sleep in. On Sunday we meet in a new church building which is 3 minutes from our house walking. I'm thrilled but we will meet at 9 a.m.

Steele's Irrigation
Steele spent hours with his friend Danny making irrigation rows to get every plant in our back yard. It kept him busy and helps my plants grow better. Yeah!
Steele and I started digging out the grass between the neighbors and us to plant roses in anticipation for roses I ordered on the Internet. I called them today to ask when they would be delivered and they said not until Spring now because of the heat. All that work for nothing. The youth are needing projects to do so I'll add that to their list and have them take out the grass so we can prepare for my "ROSE GARDEN". My neighbor is thrilled. She has already put in some flowers on her half.
