Bo's 80th Birthday Party
Friday night we flew to Sacramento for the big party. The party started at 5:00 p.m. and we arrived at 4:30 p.m. 53 people were in attendance. Ann and Charlie hosted the party. Party goers arrived at 5:00 and ate at 6:00 p.m. They served tri tip, chicken, salad, potatoes, green beans. The tri tip melted in your mouth and I had seconds on that. Ann had a get to Know Bo Game. I got 6 out of 10 questions right but didn't win. The cake was Lemon and was very good. At lot of neighbors and friends were there. The best part of the party was when Bo blew out her candles she got too close and got frosting all over her dress. Bo had so much fun and was so fun to see her just beam with happiness having her family friends with her.

Knowledge Bowl
Steele asked me in January to be the Knowledge Bowl coach for his team. I didn't really want to but he pleaded with me. So I accepted and Bridget said she would help me. She did until she decided to join Lacrosse and was at her practice instead of ours.
Saturday was the day of competition and is over now. The kids did a great job even though I was their coach. I had no idea what I was doing but we survived. I'm glad now that is over with now so I don't have to go to his school after school to meet with the kids to help them study. They did the Arts this year and it was fun that they learned so much.
Bridget has been doing Lacrosse and she pulled a hamstring so I took her to the doctor and he said not to run until it heals. She loves playing Lacrosse and isn't paying any attention to what the doctor says.

MY PROJECT
I found this dresser at the end of the summer and couldn't let it pass me by. I drove by the garage sale on my way to do errands and it caught my eye. I said if it's still there on my way back I would get it. Well two hours later it was still there and the lady said to give her an offer. I gave her $10 and I brought it home and put it in the garage and then it has been in my laundry room until last week end. I moved it in the garage and stripped off 4 layers of paint and walla the beautiful wood underneath. I ordered new knobs on line and it's finished. In the summer I may do another coat.
I don't know how to reverse the order of the pictures. Sorry!!

BYU!!
We are all so thrilled that Bridget got into BYU. Taking the ACT test enough times to get the 27 enabled her to get in. Way to go Bridget!! Now all the fun stuff begins -- senior pictures, announcements, graduation, trip to Hawaii with her Mom, Grandma, Aunt. We also need to get her into the dorms. I want her to have that experience. I would love to have her live at home but I can't keep them forever. At least she will be close to come home whenever she wants to come home. It will be really strange to be down to just one child at home.

Rexburg, Idaho
Friday after the kids got home from school we packed two vans and drove to Rexburg, Idaho to surprise Nicole for the weekend. We went with our friends the Monroe's. Becca's birthday is the same day as Nicole and we wanted to celebrate both of their birthdays. Thanks to Amy and Becca for the suggestion. The girls drove in one car - Amy, Becky, Becca, Bridget, Katie (Bridget's friend) and the boys in the other -- Don, Ray, Steele and Neil. We got their at 7:30 p.m. We had Katie (since Nicole has never met Katie) go into the dorm lounge and ask for Nicole. She told Nicole she had a present in the car and to go to the parking lot. She came out side and when she saw our cars she started screaming. She was sooo excited to see us.
We stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Rexburg close to campus. Becca stayed with Nicole at her dorm room. Ray, Amy, Don and I played Rage when we had the time. The hotel had a pool which Bridget, Katie, Steele and Neil used last night. We went bowling, walked around campus and froze. It's cold there. We were very glad to get back to 40 degree weather.
We went to church with Nicole this morning and then drove home. It was a very relaxing week end and I am so glad that we took the time to make some good memories.
I didn't take any pictures as I forgot my camera but Becca and Nicole took some so as soon as I get them I will post them here.
