Nicole's 21st Birthday

A busy weekend. Nicole came home from school on Thursday so she could be home for her big birthday. She is now 21. We celebrated by going to lunch at Kneaders and then to dinner with the Monroe's to Los Hermanos. Becca celebrates the same birthday. Twiners. Saturday Nicole had a party with friends. I made barbie cakes for both her and Becca.

Happy Birthday Steele!! 13 Years OLD

I made this popcorn cake for Steele as he loves popcorn. He usually has popcorn as an after school treat. Tyann made this cake for Rachel for her birthday and I knew I had to make it for Steele. It turned out so cute. I can't believe my baby is a teenager. He's going to do Laser Tag with friends at 5:30 then home for pizza and cake.

I'm so excited to have my camera back I'm taking pictures of everything. Here's Toby and Gracie.

Lynnette invited Steele and Grandma and I to go with her Tom, Nycola, Samantha, and Cami to dinner at Los Hermanos and to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Heritage School. It was an answer to my prayers! It lifted my spirits.

I got my camera back after losing it on the hike to the Y. I had been calling for weeks at the Lost and Found and called one more time before going to buy a new one and they had it. Someone turned it in on Monday. Yeah. So anyway I'm adding the pictures that I had just taken.

Visit to Arizona

This past week end we visited the Lebers in their new home for Mom's 86th birthday. We had a great time, short but sweet.

Rachel and I went running down their street and rearranged furniture for Phyllis. We went swimming with Phyllis, Mom, Zach, Tyler and Me. I fed the turtles and rabbit. We went to dinner at my favorite places -- In N Out and Melting Pot. We went to the office and I got a new pair of sunglasses. It was warm and toasty only 98 degrees. I helped Phyllis pick out knobs for her kitchen cabinets and then we picked out a patio set for her.

Hike to the 'Y'

I made it to the top of the Y. One hard hike!!! I don't know how to turn it around.

I made it this time to the Y. When attending BYU I attempted to hike the mountain to get to the Y but we didn't use any trail and tried to go straight up but couldn't do it. This time I did it and took it nice and easy. It's a tough hike as it is straight up. I lost my camera along the way. I didn't realize it until I got to the car. Steele and Bridget said a guy had my camera asking everyone at the top if it was theirs. Steele thought it looked like mine and Bridget said oh mom has her camera. Maybe there is still hope in getting it back.

After the hike we went to the Cannon Center and Bridget treated us to lunch. It was a great time worth losing my camera.

Clouds

I have been fascinated by the clouds this summer. They have been so beautiful. The kids think I'm funny. They tell me that they look like regular clouds. But something is different about them. They are breath taking. At least now the kids will say look at those clouds and now they notice them.

Salt Lake City

I had my Jaw Dr. appt in downtown Salt Lake City. I took the kids with me and they waited for me while I had my appointment. I can open my jaw full motion and even straight on. I still have grinding in my jaw and he wants me to make sure I take my glucosomine. He will take a ct scan then to see how things are healing.

After the appointment we went a block away and went to Crown Burgers for lunch. He heard on the news that they are the known through out the country. They were good. Almost as good as In-Out. I even heard that In-Out is being built by the Mall in Orem. Yeah!!

Then we went to the This Is the Place Park and spent two and half hours in the heat walking around. The kids loved it. You will have to see Bridget's blog for all the pictures. They had a great time. We could have spent more time there but had to beat the traffic home so Nicole could go to work which we did.

I can't believe it is August already and my girls will be off to college soon. I have so enjoyed having all 3 of them this summer. We have done a lot of fun things. One comforting thought is that Bridget will be 15 minutes away.

Nicole's Nose

Nicole had her deviated septum fixed this summer while she wasn't working and going to school. She has never been able to breath out of the right side of her nose. She can now blow her nose!!!

I will get an after picture taken as soon as I can get her to pose for me. She didn't have any problems recuperating after the surgery.

Grandma Lois took this picture with her cell phone. Grandma took her and stayed with her during the operation and when I got off of work I went over and picked her up. Thanks Grandma for doing this for her!!

Pictures of our Sunflowers that grew volunteer. They are huge. Our garden has done really well this year.
Steele coming home after a week with Grandma and Grandpa Kreis. He grew while he was gone. He looks like he's wearing a muscle shirt. He was embarrassed that I took a picture of him. He must be getting into those TEEN years where parents embarrass them easily. He had a great time as always with his Grandparents.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. I took Grandma, Carolyn & Lloyd Thursten and Bridget, Steele and Nicole on a Monday afternoon. We a very nice time. Don was working as usual.
